Limits Boundary Lines and the distance to
Canyon Lake, TX, which is about 12 or 13 miles apart.
The purpose of this Map is to
show the City Limits of New Braunfels and the separating distance
between Canyon Lake, TX and New Braunfels, TX., due to "massive concerns" about
the New River Rules & Laws New Braunfels has recently passed.
As noted on the Map above: None of the New Braunfels
recently passed " River Rules & Laws" apply outside the New
Braunfels
City Limits. This means starting immediately above the "Gruene Bridge"
and going up-river towards Canyon Lake
on the Guadalupe River, you will not be subject to fines and scrutiny under the
New River Rules and Laws recently passed
by the City of New Braunfels. Essentially, you will be in the "Hassle Free
Zone" above Gruene Bridge and all the way
up river to the very beginning of the Guadalupe River near Kerrville, Texas!
It's about 12 to 13 miles between the
"Danger Zone" (All Of New Braunfels City Limits, the area shaded in
Pink on the Map above),
and the "Hassle Free Zone" known as Tube
Haus (at the top of the Map) in Canyon Lake, Texas.
Everything within the New Braunfels City Limits / Boundaries is being referred to as
the "Danger Zone" because
the local rivers within the city limits are laced with Law Enforcement Agents ready to ticket
all unsuspecting tourists
and visitors who have no clue about the long list of restrictions placed on
their freedoms when they try their hand at River Tubing
and Water Activities on either the Guadalupe River or Comal River within the
City Limits of New Braunfels.
Some cities and towns around the country generate additional revenues with
"Speed Traps", but the City Of New Braunfels
has come up with a new twist to generate funds for the City Coffers. Hefty Fines
await unsuspecting families when
they unknowingly bring sandwiches packed in a plastic zip lock baggies, or candy
bars and their wrappers or a
simple can of Coca Cola or Pepsi. If your music can be heard from more than 50
ft (how do they measure this exactly???),
you'll be hit with a hefty fine... if you grabbed the standard 28 quart cooler
from the garage and packed up some great
snacks and sodas for the Family, then you will be found as a criminal in New
Braunfels if you show up at any River
within the City Limits and forking over your hard earned cash to the Local
Judge or City Clerk, because only 16 quart coolers
or smaller are allowed on the rivers (what Out-of-Towner knows this
stuff???)
Oh well, too bad, too sad, the law is the law, no matter if it's wrong or being
used for the wrong purposes.

then you have been forewarned
of the Danger Zone that lurks within the City Limits Of New Braunfels. New
Braunfels used to be one of
the finest and fairest cities in Texas, but somehow the loonies finagled their
way into positions
of power and greed... and so goes the same old story of corruption and poor judgment
across our land.
The legal costs of Lawsuits, negative publicity in the media, combined with the
horrible experiences
tourists are having when ticketed and fined, and lost revenues from a downturn
in tourism
is costing the City of New Braunfels way more than what they were paying
out to clean up trash
on the river and maintain the stellar reputation they once had. Read the lawsuit

around and infected the local population
as the update article is stating the Locals support the Disposable Container Ban
and the other
absurd restrictions recently passed by the City Council. I'm scratching my head
and wondering...?
